One person was killed and three others injured after the vehicle they were travelling smashed onto a stationary truck near Police Check Gate, Peducha, along NH 29, Kohima. The incident occurred around 11:30 pm.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police, Kohima and PRO, the deceased and the three occupants, believed to be from the same family, were heading towards Dimapur from Kohima when the accident occurred.
The deceased, identified a male, was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident and died on the spot, police said. Of the 3 injured occupants (all females), two are reported to be in critical condition.
