Tenning, February 7 (MExN): One person has been arrested for possession of arms and cash amounting to Rs. 1.23 lakhs in Tenning, Peren on Wednesday. The arrested individual, identified as one Gaubeu Zeliang, was travelling in Mahindra Scorpio when he was intercepted by a joint team of Peren Police and CRPF 174 Bn. On conduct of a search, one .22 pistol, 8 live rounds, gun licence, ID card belonging to the Nagaland Police Dept., laptop bags etc. were recovered from his possession, according to the seizure memo. With the Model Code of Conduct in force, there is a restriction to carrying of arms and unaccounted cash of not more than Rs. 50,000.
