CHÜMOUKEDIMA, AUGUST 28 (MExN): A tragic accident near the ICAR-National Research Centre on Mithun, Medziphema, resulted in the death of one man on August 28.
The incident occurred around 3 PM when the vehicle, a silver Hyundai i-20 with an NL-01 registration plate, skidded off the road while descending from Kohima towards Dimapur.
The sole occupant of the car, identified as P Longang Konyak, 47, a former President of the Konyak Union in Kohima, was killed instantly when his vehicle overturned during a sharp turn. According to police sources, Konyak was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
