Our Correspondent Imphal | February 10 One Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) cadre identified as Jamkhulet Doulet was shot dead by unidentified men last night in Kangpokpi area under Senapati district along National Highway 2. A police report said Wednesday his body was found near KT Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi not long after he was kidnapped by some armed persons near his house at Kangpokpi bazaar around 8 p.m. Earlier, his family members along with locals searched for him after learning that he had been kidnapped by some gunmen. Four bullet wounds were found from the body which is being kept in the mortuary of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal. The Kangpokpi Police has registered a case over the incident. Kangpokpi is located about 45 km from Manipur capital Imphal. KRA is currently under ceasefire with both the Central and Manipur governments. Its area of operation includes parts of the Churachandpur, Chandel and Senapati districts in Manipur, and the Kuki-inhabited areas of the Karbi Anglong district in Assam.
