A training program for BLOs for distribution of photo voters slip was held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner.
Addressing the BLOs, D. Heeraj Kumar shared on the roles of BLOs and said, the responsibility of BLOs is to assist the polling officer for the smooth conduct of the polls and also to assist and sensitise the voters.
DC and DEO, Kiphire Mohammad Ali giving a strong message asked all the village council to follow the instruction of ECI on ‘one men one vote’ also warned of strict action against those BLOs who do not ensure ‘one men one vote.’ He also appealed the BLOs to maintain a non partiesm stand. He informed that reward (s) would be given to the best BLO’s after the election.
District Icon for clean election, Litila Sangtam who also spoke on the occasion said there is nothing more important than voting in democracy. She also felt that one should choose leaders with integrity. She also made an appeal to the BLOs to perform one’s duty with sincerity as election is the festival of democracy. Others who spoke on the occasion ask the BLOs to have free and fair election by ensuring ‘one men one vote.
