Morung Express News Dimapur | May 15 One person was shot dead in Dimapur on May 15. The incident occurred near the New Dhansiri bridge at around noon. The deceased was identified by the police as Vivito Zhimomi, a man in his 30s, who was a resident of 4th Mile. He was reportedly a member of one of the Naga Political Groups but the police stated, “(It) is still being verified.” As per the police, an unidentified person, suspected to be the shooter, was seen with the victim before the shooting occurred. He was shot point blank at the back of the head with the shooter reportedly seen fleeing the spot on foot. “The matter is under investigation to establish the motive and the miscreant behind the crime,” police said.
