Ashong: Hi money. How are you?
Money: I’m fine, thank you, Ashong. What brings you here?
Ashong: I just would like to interview with you for a while, can I?
Money: Yeah, sure. It would be a pleasure for me. But, I implore, please don’t let it go too far!
Ashong: Ok, allow me to start. Money, why are so powerful, charming, attractive and agog for the people? At times, you seem to be like God, worshipped and searched by people all over. I’m amazed! How can you handle the world? How can you strike people’s mind? How can you make people’s face shine? How are you able to make people smile? Are you more powerful than Jesus? Are you capable of doing more miraculous deeds than Jesus? Can people get salvation through you?
Money: Oh no Ashong! It is not so. I am not good as you think. People often misunderstand and misuse me. I’m just a means of exchange, nothing more.
Ashong: See, in the recent election, I heard that you were used enormously by the candidates. Did the candidates win with your help, or are they get elected because they are capable and trusted by the people?
Money: Of course, they really used me. I don’t know whether they really had no hope without me. For if they were confident, I thought, they could win without using us (money) that much, but it appeared that they were in desperation without us. Actually, bank is one of the primary places for us to stay, however before election, we were not in the Banks but we went out in large numbers to different places and persons. I don’t want to precisely tell you whether they won because of my help. If you ask all the voters – their views or interests on the candidates, perhaps you’ll know whether our power pulled the people and lifted up the candidates. But it’s hard to tell what actually would have happened without us.
Ashong: Money you really seem to have lots of power and impact upon human’s life. You can really change people’s mind and situations in a very forceful and unusual ways. It’s indeed incredible!
Money: No, no, no, Ashong. I think many people misuse me without properly knowing me who I am. Actually, I’m not that powerful or influential. I don’t have magical or supernatural powers. As I said, I’m just a simple means of exchange.
Ashong: Then money, I wonder, why do people go wildly crazy after you and easily fall in love with you, but not with the Word of God? Spending few minutes for God in reading the Scripture or prayer is a big thing for humans, I’m astounded! But there is no boredom and sluggishness in human hunting you. What do you say?
Money: Dear Ashong, don’t be simply astonished! Because you know that I’m just money. Of course, I can give the way or source of help to the people to enjoy their lives and I can take the people to hospitals to give them medicines to cure their sicknesses, but further than that, I’m nothing. God is the only way of everything. I’m just mere money, but Ashong you people, adore me so much and follow me always. Consequently, they go wrong often. It happened even in the recent election. Truly, I feel so sorry for it. But try your best Ashong in the next … ok. Thank you, Ashong.
