Mon, November 25 (MExN): In commemoration of the Constitution Day 2020, an online essay competition under the topic ‘Freedom of Speech: Foundation of Democracy as well as basic Human Rights’ was organised by the Department of Political Science, Wangkhao Government College (WGC), Mon.
According to a press release from the college, students from WGC, Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) ‘A’, GHSS ‘B’, St John Higher Secondary School, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School and Konjong Higher Secondary School participated in the competition.
Langto P Konyak of WGC bagged the first position while K Lethai Konyak from SJHSS came second. The third position winners were Leye S Konyak from SJHSS and Wangting from DBHSS.
The Constitution Day is celebrated on November 26 in India to value and protect the rich heritage of composite culture, promote harmony and the spirit of brotherhood amongst the diverse people living in the country, the release stated.
