An online payment service for businesses in Nagaland was launched in Dimapur today. A brainchild of Wati Imsong, the website – www.onlybafo.com was inspired by internet shopping giants like flipkart and justdial.
The website, besides providing information about shops, will allow businesses to sale products online while consumers can make cashless purchase.
t also seeks to promote Naga artists and musicians by making their music available on the website. “Artists wanting to promote their music can send us their mp3 or mp4 along with their profile via Email to us at onlybafo@gmail.com,” stated a media handout. As many as 20 shops and restaurants have registered with onlybafo, it said while adding that it plans to get more shops in the state to register with the website free of cost and set up free online payment facility.
Clients can also register themselves by logging on to www.onlybafo.com and submit details. The website would go fully functional within a month, it added.
A former cricketer at KIOC Bangalore, Imsong is an innovative business entrepreneur, who runs a utility service hiring out bulldozers and excavators on contract basis.
According to him, the idea of creating the website was born when he was in Bangalore. Realizing the dearth of Nagaland-based online services, he went about the task of creating onlybafo, which would benefit business owners as consumers. Sharing his idea with entrepreneurs here, he received positive feedbacks with some stating that such an online portal would greatly boost business in Nagaland.
