Kiphire, May 13 (MExN): State Secretary, BJP Nagaland and in-charge of Kiphire district, K Thong has maintained that it is the desire of BJP to install good governance all over the country and even in Nagaland. “Good governance is the true implementation of welfare programs with transparency, accountability, efficiency, responsiveness, participatory, obedience to rule of law and with political will,” he said in his address at the district executive meeting of BJP Kiphire on May 10 in Kiphire. Asserting that good governance is essential to promote true democracy, he said people of Nagaland deserve good governance which can only be provided by the BJP if voted to power.
He further alleged that poverty has alarmingly multiplied over the decades, adding the rich have become richer and richer and the poor poorer. “Because welfare schemes had not benefitted the targeted groups of people but were embezzled by people in power.” Thong noted that the NDA government led by the BJP has launched various policies, programmes and pro-poor schemes in redeemed form to eradicate poverty and transform the society towards developed and true independent India.
The BJP official meanwhile stated people are fed up of prolonged corruption, mismanagement of affairs and sick government machinery. “…However, during this critical juncture the BJP led by our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi arrived in the political arena with many new hopes and brought the wind of change and ushered in the new era of development.” He asserted corruption should be completely replaced with real all round development of the society.
Meanwhile, Thong said good, qualified, talented and God fearing people should join politics and participate to bring true social transformation. “They should be provided an opportunity in the decision making bodies to truly benefit the people. The BJP desires that good people should be given an opportunity to rule the country.”
People of Kiphire district, he stated, deserve to move forward along with others and only BJP can uplift the same if only it is elected to power.
