‘Unfortunate decisions on handling the situation during this pandemic time in Nagaland’
Sir,
This letter is to draw your kind attention to the unfortunate decisions made to handle the situation during this pandemic Covid-19 in Nagaland. Some of which I am listing below:
1. Covid-19 testing facilities provided to the citizens of the state to be made compulsory especially for the stranded students returning to their respective home.
2. Maintain vigilant and proper quarantine centres by the govt for returned stranded students, in order to avoid community spreading.
3. All the frontline helpers must be given specific facilities since they are the life-line to control such unfortunate virus. Major efforts and preventive measures should be given to the frontline helpers.
4. Youths of the state are being accused and questioned for working outside the state by our own people is an irrational statement. Therefore, please look into this matter for goodwill of general people of the state.
5. The earlier financial assistance provided by the govt in order to ease the hardships faced by the people stranded outside the state is not benefitted by the beneficiaries as per my knowledge.
6. The decision taken by the government to prevent people coming from other stranded states to tackle with covid-19 is indeed a very good initiative but why not included other northeast state beside Sikkim and left out unregistered people.
I, therefore on behalf of people living outside the state request you to kindly take necessary action on the issues highlighted above.
Anticipating your appropriate response and action at the earliest
