Sir,
The ENSF strongly rejects the modified relaxation for recruitment of Teachers’ District-wise which was published in Nagaland Post, dated the 21st Jan, 2011 from the office of State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT). It is to be noted that the Federation had requested and submitted representation to the Department concerned to simply implement the New Teachers Recruitment Policy, notified vide Govt. Order NO. EDS/1-7-2008 dated Kohima, the 9th Jan, 2009 wherein relaxation was exclusively accorded to the 6 (six) Tribes viz, Chang, Konyak, Khiamniungan, Yimchunger, Sangtam and Phom of Eastern Nagaland for 10 (ten) years which was subjected to review, extension and revocation after the expiry of the stipulated time period. However, such manipulated, fragmented and modified relaxation as advertised will only create more confusion and resentment towards the Department concerned rather than solving the issue/problem at hand.
Further, the ENSF reiterates the Department to clearly and authentically re-advertise the exact number of resultant vacancies in the four districts viz. Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire and Longleng as the recent advertised post is very less and does not tally compared to the total resultant vacancies created out of the Nagaland Retirement/Superannuation Act 2009 recorded in the four districts. Therefore, accurate and authentic number of post should be re-advertised before the Department initiates the recruitment process. Also the Department should come out with a clear cut recruitment policy, encompassing the relaxation accorded for six tribes as notified in the above mentioned Govt. Notification for recruitment of Teachers district wise.
Heretofore, The Federation is compelled to boycott the recruitment of Teachers in the four district of Eastern Nagaland till the genuine grievances of the six (6) tribes is addressed by the Government and Department concerned. The ERNSF directs all its six (6) Federating units viz. CCSU, YAA, KSU, USSC, KSU and PSC to boycott the Teachers recruitment on 3rd Feb 2011. The federation shall further pursue till our request for implementation of the above mentioned relaxation Notification is fully maintained.
Thank you
