As we anticipate to welcome 2019 through our New Year’s Eve Program at Mokokchung Town Square, I wish to use this platform to address the menace of using fire crackers.
Over the years, the use of crackers during the program has declined to a great extend because people have become smarter and more educated. I would personally consider last year’s program to be the best so far, not because of how well the event went but because the organizers ‘MDMA’ did not burst even a single fire cracker from their end during the program.
It was indeed a strong stand against pollution which I appreciate.
I wish to see the same even this year. Let’s say NO to crackers. Let us love Mokokchung and not pollute its air and water, let us not create garbage, let us not waste our resources.
Therefore, to whoever is organizing New Year Eve’s Program on the 31st, I would like to challenge you to say NO to fire crackers. Lead the way and rest will follow.
Let’s all look forward to celebrate New Year with awesome music, smiles and laughter not crackers. Mokokchung needs you to say NO to Firecrackers.
