Kohima, September 8 (MExN): The Kohima District Football Association (KDFA) will be conducting an Open Selection Trial exclusively for registered KDFA players to select players for the Kohima District Football Team for participation in the 25th Edition of the Dr T Ao Trophy and Nagaland Olympics 2026. The selection trial is scheduled to be held on September 11 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon.
Only players registered with KDFA will be eligible to participate in the selection trial. Players selected through the trial will join the 35 players already shortlisted from the first phase of the league selection process. Thereafter, the Selection Committee will undertake the final assessment and selection of players who will represent the Kohima District Team in both championships. The selection committee comprises; Kevilebei Zashümo (AFC ‘B’ Licence)- Convenor, Pezavitüo George Vizo- Member Secretary, Azho Sophie (AFC ‘C’ Licence)-Member and Vizovor Liezietsu (AFC ‘C’ Licence)- Member.
Meanwhile, the KDFA has called upon eligible registered players to make use of the opportunity and participate in the selection trial.
