Wokha, January 24 (MExN): Team Metamorphosis, Wokha has announced the winner of the ‘Operation Clean Wokha’ which was launched on April 25, 2016.
Team Metamorphosis with its implementing partners has been consistently monitoring the implantation of the programme right from the day it was launched. The final inspection was carried out on December 4, 2016, stated a press release from the Team Metamorphosis President Thungdemo Kyong.
The marks were given on the basis of ‘area of coverage and consistency of efforts rendered’ by the colony or institution.
The winners for the 2016 Operation Clean Wokha have been declared as follows: Under the category of colonies Suren colony was adjudged as the best colony followed by Molonsu and Upper Zuvotong colony in the third place. Rachan colony which has won the title for the best colony four years ago was considered for a consolation prize. Under the category of institutions, Mt. Sinai School was adjudged as the best/cleanest institution followed by Libemo Memorial School (LMS) and Government Higher Secondary School in the third place. Isaiah Ability School, Perennial Montessori School and Little Angels School were considered for the consolation prizes for their efforts and consistency.
The prizes will be given on January 26 at the Republic day function. The battle for the best institution was very tough as many of the authorities share the vision for a better earth. Operation Clean Wokha is a program which will be carried for at least four years. These winners have emerged as champions from among the 27 (twenty seven) colonies and more than 30 (thirty) schools and higher secondary schools.
