Kohima, June 3 (MExN): The Thipüzumi Welfare Society, Kohima (TWSK) expressed shock over the alleged murder of Rechüvolü, a mother of four children, allegedly by her own husband on the night of May 31 at Diphupar village, Chümoukedima.
“Such a barbaric and savage act leading to the loss of a God given precious life has no place in any modern civilized society and should be condemned by all right thinking people,” the TWSK stated in a release received here.
While condemning the inhuman act of the perpetrator, the TWSK appealed the law enforcing agencies to expeditiously carry out a thorough investigation and punish the culprit under the relevant sections of the laws of the land. The TWSK while sharing the grief of the loss of a precious life, offer its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
Further, Western Chakhesang Mothers' Association (WCMA), Chakhesang Women Krotho Diphupar (CWKD) and Thipuzumi Women Welfare Society Dimapur (TWWSD) have expressed outrage at the heinous crime committed on May 31. WCMA, CWKD and TWWSD in a joint press statement demanded “justice and called for immediate action against the perpetrator.” It further urged the law enforcing authorities to award exemplary punishment and not to release the perpetrator while under investigation till the end of justice.
