
Kohima, May 21 (MExN): Several organisations have condemned the alleged murder of Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou, PA to DC Kohima, by two youth Neizosetuo Kire and Khrietsonyü Whuorie of Kohima village in Kohima. Late Miasalhou succumbed to his injuries on Sunday at a private hospital in Kohima, after an alleged vehicular traffic-related scuffle on May 18.
NWA: The Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) in its condemnation note said, “Today the wrestling fraternity is aggrieved and we unequivocally condemn such act of barbarism and ruthlessness which has no place in our modern-day world and should be condemned by one and all.” NWA also appealed the Law enforcement agency under the State Government to initiate and deliver appropriate justice at the earliest.
AGOK: The Angami Gazetted Officers’ Krotho (AGOK) has mourned the demise of one of its member, late Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou. “AGOK is deeply anguished to know as the crime was committed in broad daylight at the heart of the capital by none other than our own community members particularly in a time when peace and brotherhood predominates violence and hatred in our present civilised society,” it stated. Further, AGOK has appealed to the concerned authorities to promptly investigate the matter and justice be adjudicated at the earliest. The AGOK also urged the concerned authorities to give a befitting punishment to the culprits as per the law of the land.
ENDBU: The Eastern Nagaland DB’s Union (ENDBU) in its condemnation note said, “the act committed by two individuals in a day light is deeply distressing and for which the ENDBU strongly condemns such inhuman act and urge the law enforcing agency to take the matter in seriousness and deliver timely justice.” It also said that the demise of Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou is great lost for DB’s institution and Nagas in general.
CPO: The Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) noted that the loss of innocent life due to senseless violence is not only heart breaking but intolerable in this civilize state. “Therefore, we urge all sections of people in condemning this nature of heinous barbaric act and advocate justice for the victims and his families,” CPO stated in its condemnation note. “Hence, the authority should take befitting action to punish the culprits and no persons/party/ies should interfere the investigating agencies and jeopardize the rule of laws under any circumstances,” it added.
KPK: The Kitsubozou Panchayat Kohima (KPK) said that Late Kezhalelie Lawrence Miasalhou was a bonafide member of our ward who always selflessly stood and worked for the welfare of the society, the Panchayat stated and vehemently condemned “the inhuman act and fervently appeal the government agencies to boldly and diligently carry out its responsibilities so that the trust of the masses on the judiciary is not shaken.”
