Dimapur, May 9 (MExN): The Wokha District Entrepreneurs’ Association (WDEA) and Nagaland Contractors' & Suppliers' Union, Wokha district unit have strongly endorsed the Lotha Hoho and Rengma Hoho’s stand on National Highway 2 along the Wokha and Tseminyu stretch.
The Lotha Hoho and Rengma Hoho, on May 8, have served a 15 days deadline to Public works Department (NH) Nagaland to “immediately start the widening works of NH 2 along Wokha and Tseminyu stretch.”
“The association firmly feels that widening works of NH2 will serve the interest of not only the Lothas and Rengmas, but it will serve the interest of the people of almost five districts, the WDEA said in press statement issued through its President Ponathung Kikon and Press Secretary Thunglamo Odyuo.
“It will foster the growth of trade and commerce in the entire locality and should be taken up immediately on priority basis,” WDEA added.
Meanwhile, extending its appreciation and endorsement to the Hohos’ stand, the NCSU Wokha Unit President Solomon and Jt. Secretary, Lipon Lotha in a press statement maintained that the widening works of NH2 will serve the interest of not only of Lotha and Rengma people, but it will serve the interest of the people of Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Kiphire and Longleng districts.
