Orion Edutech Pvt. Ltd., one of the country’s leading vocational and skill training imparters, on Thursday formally announced the launching of the ‘Seekho Aur Kamao’ (Learn and earn) project under Union Ministry of Minority Affairs, for its three training centres located at Ghaspani, Jalukie and Peren.
Business director, Orion Edutech Pvt. Ltd., PK Das, at a press briefing held here at the company’s branch office opposite Chekiye Village Gate, 3rd Mile, said the ‘Seekho aur Kamao’ is a special scheme for development and employment of youth belonging to the minority communities.
Das said the three training centres became fully operational since last month after the state government inspected and gave approval that the centres have all the required facilities and infrastructure to impart vocational training.
Presently, the three centres are imparting 3-month training to 500 youths in the hospitality sector (Food and beverage) with the break wise of the trainees in the three centres as follows: Ghaspani (150 trainees), Jalukie (200) and Peren (150).
The business director also informed the same project was successfully conducted and completed in the year 2014-15 in Mokokchung and Dimapur districts and more than 300 trainees got placements in various sectors spread throughout the country.
Meanwhile, Orion Edutech Pvt. Ltd, thanked the Government of Nagaland for cooperation in running the project and further requested the Ministry of Minority Affairs to allot other projects in future for skill development of minorities.
