Mon, December 16 (MExN): Oting Baptist Church, Mon celebrated platinum jubilee on December 16. Extending greetings on the occasion, Minister Health and Family Welfare P Paiwang Konyak said celebrating 75 years is a significant milestone for any church community, a press release stated.
“As we celebrate 75 years of our church's unwavering commitment to faith and community, our journey echoes the devotion of those early followers, embracing the teachings of love, compassion, and unity”, maintained Paiwang.
“Just as the early church embraced a new faith,” the Minister said, “the community embraced this vision 75 years ago adding that through trials and triumphs, the commitment to these principles stood the test of time, shaping the people into a beacon of hope and compassion within the community.”
He acknowledged the roots while celebrating the vibrant tapestry of its own history- “a history woven with prayers, dedication, and the tireless work of those who built this church.”
Paiwang also paid tribute to the pioneers who with much pain and sacrifices, guided, served and has established this church creating a beacon of hope and faith for the community and also honoured of those who have left a legacy of faith that inspires the people to this day.
With the celebration the minister urged to look to the future together with renewed faith and enthusiasm and to be prepared to continue the mission of spreading love and kindness for generations to come.
