Our freedom movement is a divine inspired: NSCN K

Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): A high official of the NSCN (K) from the Tenyimia community today urged upon the Zeliangrong people in the rank and files of the NSCN (IM) faction to retrospect and introspect about the Naga movement and asked them to come under the banner of the NSCN (K) to work for the liberation of Nagaland.

A press statement issued by NSCN (K) Central Council Member, Akhone Chakhesang, who declared that he has been under the leadership of the NSCN (K) Chairman SS Khaplang for about 15 years, made an appeal to the Zeliangrong people working in the NSCN (IM) to introspect and retrospect all the historical events that have taken place in the Naga freedom movement and asked them to carefully think over the political legacy left by the elders to them.

“Our freedom movement is absolutely a divine inspired movement. We are chosen people and a peculiar nation. So let us not bow down to the laws and systems of the heathens and idol worshippers,” stated Akhone.

He said that the NSCN (IM) leadership had irrefutably dropped the sovereignty issue of the Nagas and alleged that the NSCN (IM) has already accepted the Indian constitution in principle and have therefore embarked on power and money markets and leading luxurious living which are abominable in the sight of God in the Nagas’ context.

In this connection, the release shouted out that if the Zeliangrong people claims that Haipou Jaduanung was one of the first torch bearers of the Naga movement, then the Zeliangrong people “should not only claim by mouth but should put in practice”.

Akhone urged the Zeliangrong people not to worship leaders like AK Lungalang “but should follow leaders like Philips Pamei and his friends” and come together to work in the NSCN (K) under the leadership of SS Khaplang for the liberation of Nagaland.
