Kohima, April 14 (MExN): “The only and biggest asset of the Nagas is our land and therefore, it should be carefully guarded and utilised for our own self developmental activities,” underscored TN Mannen, Advisor for Law & Justice, Land Revenue on April 14.
He stated this while gracing the tree plantation drive initiated on account of platinum jubilee year of Gauhati High Court at new High Court Complex, Meriema, a press release from Media Cell to Advisor stated.
Stating that “As the Nagaland Land Law has become an integral part of Naga Municipal Act,” the Advisor gave his “assurance to try and organise the Nagaland Land Law during the drafting in such a manner that it will benefit not only the urban dwellers but also touches the interest of the rural area as well.”
Speaking on the need for completing the new High Court Complex at the earliest, the Advisor said he will discuss in detail with the Chief Minister who is very much aware and also personally interested to ensure that the dream of all Nagas for the early completion of the complex is realized in record time.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Joshua Sheqi, Secretary HCBA and invocation was pronounced by Kekhiengulie, President KDBA.
During the drive, fourteen variety of trees, both ornamental and fruit bearing trees, numbering 1000 trees were planted around the vicinity of the new High court complex, Meriema.
