Chümoukedima, January 10 (MExN): A one day outreach seminar on Income Tax-tax deduction at Source (IT-TDS) was organised by Nagaland Health Protection Society in collaboration with Commissionerate of Income Tax NER, Guwahati on January 10 at Town hall, Niathu Resort, Chümoukedima for all empanelled private hospitals under AB PM-JAY CMHIS in the State.
V Kezo, Commissioner and Secretary to GON, Department of Health and Family Welfare was the special guest for the seminar. The IT team was led by C Deepak Singh, Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), NER, Guwahati with Rintei Renthlei, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Range-TDS, Shillong and Mani Sankar Bardoloi, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax Range-TDS, circle Guwahati as the resource persons.
The seminar covered various pertinent topics on Tax Compliances for various stakeholders in implementation of the PM-JAY CMHIS Scheme, eligibility and Procedures for exemption under the Income Tax Act for Scheduled Tribes and process for filing IT returns and refunds thereof if any, stated a press release received here.
