Dhansiripar, January 14 (MExN): The Chief Minister Mobile Operation Theatre (CM-MOT) Free Surgical Camp was conducted at the Community Health Centre (CHC), Dhansiripar, under Chümoukedima district on Tuesday to provide free surgical healthcare services to the people of the area.
Addressing the gathering, MLA and CM-MOT team leader Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhutso said Dhansiripar was the 23rd location covered under the programme since its launch on January 26, 2025, and informed that more than 1,000 surgeries have been conducted so far. He said such people-centric initiatives were possible due to the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister. Stating that the objective of the free health camp was to provide quality healthcare services, particularly to the rural population lacking access to higher medical centres, he said the initiative aims to bring surgical services to the doorstep of the people.
Dr Rhutso also highlighted the contribution of the CM-MOT medical team, comprising Dr Kenie, anaesthesiologist, Dr Lanu, dental surgeon, and Dr Moa, laparoscopic surgeon, along with nurses and other medical staff, for their dedicated services.
Advisor, Industries and Commerce, Hekani Jakhalu, urged residents of Dhansiripar to avail themselves of the services provided under the CM-MOT initiative and not miss the opportunity. She also expressed appreciation to Dr Rhutso and his medical team for their commitment and service.
The programme was chaired by SDO (Civil), Dhansiripar, Vejoyo Swuro, NCS. The invocation was pronounced by Chenirao Jungi, Pastor, UBC Dhansiripar, while the welcome address was delivered by Ringthar Jigdung, chairman, CHC Dhansiripar. The vote of thanks was proposed by Joybolal Khemprai, Village Council Chairman, Dhansiripar.
The health camp offered surgical, dental and anaesthesia services free of cost, along with pre- and post-operative care. OPD consultation services were also provided for patient screening and medical assessment. The CM-MOT health camp at Dhansiripar will conclude on January 15, 2026.
