Village-level convergence camp under PRI-CBO Convergence Programme at Longsa village under Wokha on May 16.

Wokha, May 18 (MExN): Village-level convergence camp under PRI-CBO Convergence Programme was organised at Old Changsu and Longsa village under the management of Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM), RD Block Wokha on May 15 and 16.
The convergence camp witnessed participation from villagers and was designed to deliver holistic benefits through integrated service delivery. In the two-day convergence camp, over 490 beneficiaries availed themselves of various services, several on-the-spot registrations and distribution were carried out, stated a press release received here.
Nzanbemo Y Patton, Block Program Manager, in his keynote address remarked “when we converge, we multiply our effectiveness and appeal to make such convergence a model for partnership and progress and ensuring that rural citizens are not left behind in the journey of development.”

Key departments and agencies were involved in the camp. Rural Development Department provided information dissemination, job card updates and correction under the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act). Civil Supply Department delivered assistance in registration of Ration Cards for new enrolment, ensuring food security for rural.
Under the Medical Department (CMO-Wokha), a team lead by Dr Mhachan Kikon-Medical Officer, CHC Englan conducted free health check-ups. Essential medicines were distributed for free which was provided by Dr Mhonchan Kithan, Medical Superintend (MS) Civil hospital-Wokha. NSRLM staffs along with Ayushman Mitra under CMO-Wokha, facilitated and registration of health insurance schemes under Chief Minister Health Insurance Schemes (CMHIS)
Veterinary Department, lead by Dr Gwazenlo Tep, Veterinary Asst Surgeon-Wokha provided consultation, free livestock essentials Medicine and advice on livestock management to support rural livelihoods.
Aadhaar Enrolment Team under District Administration facilitated new Aadhaar registrations and corrections to existing details to ensure accurate identity documentation.
Indane Gas Agency promoted and processed new applications for the Ujjwala Yojana, enabling access to clean cooking fuel for rural women. Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) promoted schemes under Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) and Individual Household Latrines (IHL), reinforcing sanitation and hygiene.
District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) distributed educational materials for Adult Literacy School and conducted awareness sessions focusing on women’s education and empowerment. Statistics & Economics Department facilitated Registration and issued birth certificate at Longsa village through village level registration unit.
