Over 500 avails KBC health camp Sunday

Kigwema, August 20 (MExN): In a prelude to commemorate 100 years of Christianity in Kigwema village in 2020, the Kigwema Baptist Church (KBC) held a health camp Sunday on August 19 at the Church premises in Kigwema.  

The health camp was organised by the KBC Centenary Mercy Ministry in collaboration with the Angami Baptist Church Council (ABCC) Medical Team.  

A total of 28 doctors, 17 nurses, five Lab. Technicians, and five pharmacists under the ABCC Medical team rendered their services to the villagers in Kigwema during the health camp and 10 minor surgeries were also conducted. The team comprising of Eye, Dental, Surgery, ENT, and Medicine specialists provided free services in its respective fields.  

The health camp registered a total of 593 people who availed the health services. Minor surgeries were also conducted during the health camp. In the morning service, Dr. Jalhoutsü delivered the Health camp Sunday sermon who spoke on varied issues ranging from health, history and religion.  

To celebrate 100 years of Christianity in Kigwema, the KBC established various ministries in areas of education, music, mercy where seminars, free health camps, fund raising activities, cleanliness and sanitation drives, and charitable services are being conducted.
