GHSS Mayangnokcha receives ‘Best School’ title
Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The LaunchPad Education and Career Fair 2024 was held at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima on May 10.
The event witnessed the attendance of over 500 school students from different districts viz. Kohima, Tseminyu, Phek, Zunheboto, Wokha, Longleng, Noklak, Tuensang and Mokokchung attend the program.

As part of the program, over 25 stalls for jobs, school admissions, consultancy partners from different Colleges/Universities/ITIs/VTIs including Kaziranga University, LPU Punjab, Sazolie College, State Institute of Hotel Management and more were part of the event to help the students in their career pathways.

GHSS Mayangnokcha, Mokokchung received the Best School title under the program. This recognition underscores the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and holistic development, stated a press release issued by YouthNet.
During the occasion, LaunchPad Scholarship Awards was given to Chujai P from Bautang GHSS Longleng, Houm P from GHSS Noklak, and Atol Lhokishe Murru from GHSS Satakha, Zunheboto. Ashahi Himb from GHSS Tseminyu was honoured with the Laptop award and Yongsangchila from GHSS Thangjam, Tuensang, was presented with the Smartphone award.
Earlier, the event was graced by the presence of Kethosituo Sekhose, Director of Youth Resource and Sports. He underlined LaunchPad as a silver lining during the challenges of COVID and beyond, underscoring its significance. He expressed gratitude to YouthNet for spearheading the implementation of this program across all 44 government higher secondary schools in Nagaland.
The LaunchPad Education and Career Fair will take place at Tetso College, Sovima on May 11 starting from 10:00 am onwards.
