Dimapur, June 8 (MExN): Following various reports from the public of bite by mad and stray dogs, the Chumukedima Town Council chief advisor Thepfulhoutuo Shuya has reminded to all the dog owners to keep their pet dogs chained from morning 6:00 am to evening 6:00 pm compulsorily with effect from June 11.
The Chief Advisor in a press release stated that the order has been passed for the safety and in interest of the public. After expiry of the dateline, the CTC will be compelled to shot dead all stray dogs loitering in public places and the same will be confiscated and no claim will be entertained under any circumstances. Therefore, all dog owners are “warned that they should take note of the order very seriously and do the needful in time in order to avert any misunderstanding that may arise.”
