P. De, Founder Director, Carewell School, Dimapur seen receiving Asia Pacific Excellence Award from Bharat Mohan Adhikari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Government of Nepal at Hotel Radisson, Kathmandu, Nepal on Saturday, May 21.
Dimapur, May 27 (MExN): Founder Director of Carewell School, Dimapur P. De was conferred Asia Pacific Excellence Award-2011 by the Citizens Integration Peace Society (Regd) Nepal – India forum for Peace and Development ‘for outstanding individual achievements and distinguished service to the nation’. The award was presented at the International Conference on “Indo-Nepal Integration and Economic Development” held at Kathmandu, Nepal on May 21.
Besides citation, De was also honoured with a gold medal for excellence along with few others from India and Nepal in presence of dignitaries from India and Nepal. The criterion of the selection of award was on the basis of exemplary services rendered by people in the various fields including education. “De nurtured and grew up his dream project in the name of Carewell School in Duncan where a marshy land was converted into an upcoming high school,” stated a press note received here. “De has been bolstering the cause of education in the school single handedly as one who cares for the growth of children’s mind and spirit in his Carewell School,” the note further added.
