Phek, October 7 (MExN): Phek Area Baptist Church Council with Phek Area Frontal Organizations held a seminar on Clean Election movement on October 3 at Phek Town Baptist Church with Colo Mero, Director Life Sports, Kohima and Dr. Kuzhopoyo Tunyi, Convener Chakhesang Clean Election Movement as resource persons.
Speaking in the occasion, Colo Mero said, “in spite of all the success, life is without any meaning unless we are truly built our relationship with God.” He also said, “Dirty politics is killing all the virtues of individual in Naga society. In our society, the violent and corrupted people are considered man.” He urged the leaders to live an exemplary life in deeds.
Dr. Kuzhopoyo Tunyi highlighted the activities of CCEM and urged the leaders of the area to sacrifice personal ego for the welfare of the people.
Around 280 leaders attended the programme chaired by Rev. Kuvengoyi Sakha, Chairman, Phek Area Baptist Church Council. Bible passage reading and prayer was done by Pastor Thepuchuyi Khesoh while Chivo Medeo presented special number. It concluded with a benediction by Zhevesa Nienu.
