DIMAPUR, JULY 22 (MExN): The Public Action Committee (PAC) under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) today held a meeting with all tribe Hohos of Dimapur, civil societies and organizations and decided that the PAC would come up with an action plan to address the issue of taxation.
“The meeting seriously deliberated on the issue of taxation both by Naga political groups and State Government agencies/departments which have been going on unabated inspite of numerous representations to the concerned authorities,” a press note from the PAC, NCD media cell stated.
“In this regard the house resolved that Nagas cannot remain mute spectators and allow such rampant illegal collection to continue,” it added. The NCD informed the organizations that the PAC action plan would try to curtail “these social ills in our society” and appeal to all to be “prepared to join hands as and when called for.”
