Painting competition on energy conservation

ANFATA invites participants

Kohima, September 13 (MExN): All Nagaland Fine Arts Teachers Association (ANFATA) has informed all the government and private schools in Nagaland to participate in a painting competition on energy conservation.  

Organised by Ministry of Power, Government of India and Bureau of Energy Efficiency in collaboration with All Nagaland Fine Arts Teachers Association, the competition will be held in three levels – school level, State level, and national level, and for two categories of students – Category ‘A’ for 4th, 5th and 6th standard students and Category ‘B’ for 7th, 8th and 9th standard students.  

The themes for category ‘A’ are ‘Save a watt to save a lot’ or ‘Be aware, use energy with care.’ For Category ‘B’, the themes are ‘Energy conservation, a small step towards small cities’ or ‘Reduce carbon footprint’ or ‘Save the polar, go solar.’ The participants can choose any one from the given themes.

  Altogether, 50 students from each category will be selected for state level. The painting sheet should not be less than legal size paper. Painting sheet should be submitted at Bright Bakery, Tinpatti, Kohima on or before October 9. Name/ school/ standard/ phone number of the participants should be given on the back side of the painting sheet. The following painting materials must be used – pencil, pencil colour, crayon, and water colour.  

Prize for state level for both the categories are as follows: First - Rs. 20,000; Second - Rs. 15,000; Third - Rs. 10,000; and 10 consolations - Rs. 5000 each.

  The ANFATA President has informed that it is compulsory for all the government schools under the Directorate of School Education Nagaland to participate in the competition.
