Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): Minister for Transport & Civil Aviation, Railways, Land Resources, Nagaland, P Paiwang Konyak today requested Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to increase the helicopter flying hours in Nagaland from the current 480 hours to 1500 hours annually.
During a meeting with the Home Minister at his residence in New Delhi, Paiwang apprised Singh that since demand of chopper service is increasing day by day, the present MHA sanctioned 480 flying hours per annum is not enough to cater to the needs of the State.
The Union Home Minister assured to look into the matter at the earliest and consider the request, stated a press release from Kuolie Mere, PRO (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi.
Paiwang also paid a courtesy call on the Union Minister for Drinking Water and Sanitation Sushree Uma Bharati.
