Hyderabad, June 20 (MExN): The Naga Research Scholars Forum (NRSF) has invited papers for its national seminar on ‘Discoursing the Shifts of the Naga Society in North-East India’ scheduled to be held on October 15 and 16, 2016 at University of Hyderabad.
According to the concept note of NRSF, a forum of the present and former scholars of the University of Hyderabad, one of the main objectives of the seminar is to engage academic endeavors from different disciplines which concerns past, present and future of the Nagas.
Abstracts (300 words) have been invited broadly on the following subthemes
1. Antiquity to Modernity
2. Memory, Orality and Literature
3. Language, Culture and Diversity
4. Colonial Occupation and Missionary Experience
5. Christianity and Education
6. Naga Polity: Identity, Territory and Nationalism
7. Centre and State Relations
8. Land and Resources
9. Economic Systems
10. Law and Society
11. Social Justice and Gender
12. Rural-Urban Migrations
13. Environment and Society
Important Dates
• Last date of submission of abstract: July 7, 2016 and can be mailed to hydnrsf@gmail.com.
• Intimation to the selected candidates shall be done latest by July 15, 2016.
• Submission of full papers by August 30, 2016.
• Abstracts and full papers must be submitted in MS Word format.
Note:
1. Abstracts will be screened through blind peer review process and selected candidates will be informed accordingly.
2. A registration fee of Rs 300/- only shall be collected from each participant on arrival.
3. Selected papers from this seminar shall be published thereafter in collaboration with the Heritage Publishing House, Dimapur, Nagaland.
4. All the selected candidates will have to arrange conveyances at their own expense. Accommodation and food shall be provided. (Strictly for the participants)
