Parakram Parv: Celebration of Bravery

Parakram Parv, the celebration of bravery was commemorated at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma on September 29.   The event was graced by N Kengurüse, father of the Late Captain Neikezhakuo Kengurüse, who delivered a short speech on his experiences of his son's death and the support of the Armed Forces fraternity to the family. Kengurüse viewed that the Indian Army not only continue to safeguard our lands but contributes beyond their call of duty by extending support and assistance in times of disasters and calamities in the country. To the students, Kengurüse encouraged them to choose the career that will enable them to serve their people and nation.  

Major Abhinav Chaudhary shared a brief presentation on 'Join Indian Army'. "The Forces is not just a job but a way of life. It's not a 9-5 job but 24/7 job," said Maj Chaudhary who updated the students the professional advancements of Armed Forces, career in the Indian Army and details of entry in the armed forces. Considering the armed forces as a great pride, Maj Chaudhary expressed that safeguarding the nation is one of the noblest cause on earth.  

A brief introduction about Parakram Parv was shared by Major Lovneet Meelu. The event was marked by display of military equipments, military band presentation, and screening of documentaries.
