Phek, April 22 (MExN): Parents and students of Bishop Abraham Memorial High School, Phek have undertaken the task of repairing the road leading to the school from New Colony Circular Road Junction. The soiling work began on the about 1km road on April 16. According to a press release received here, the decision to repair the road was taken on April 9 during the school’s Managing Committee meeting. The members in the meeting strongly felt the need to soil the deplorable road from New Colony Circular Road Junction to the BAM School campus, the release stated. During monsoon, it added, the road is neither walkable nor motorable. The School Managing Committee initiated the work and decided to request the parents of the students and well wishers to extend a free helping hand. As discussed by the members in the previous meeting, the mode of fund generation was executed from local sources and other goodwill personal contributions, it stated. From the little fund raised, boulders were purchased and its transportation to the spot was helped by DC, ADC and Executive Engineer PWD Phek, it said.
