Kohima, June 20 (MExN): Parliamentary Standing Committee on Rural Development, Government of India is on a three day visit to Nagaland from June 20 to 23.
The 21 member team of MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha led by MP and Chairman, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Rural Development, Dr. P. Venugopal arrived at state capital, Kohima today evening. The team will visit Khonoma and Jotsoma Village to inspect various schemes and will also conduct discussions with village level functionaries.
During an interactive session on June 21 at de Oriental Grand, Kohima, the committee will have interaction with Chief Secretary, State and Bank Officials and with various departments including Irrigation & Flood Control, Land Resources, Agriculture, Rural Development, Social welfare, PWD (R&B), Land Revenue and Food & Civil Supplies. Power point presentation will also be done by State Bank of India, Rural Development, Land Resources, PHED and PWD & R&B (PMGSY).
The team will later visit War Cemetery, Kohima before departure to Dimapur.
