
Kohima, October 25 (MExN): The Minister for Agriculture & Co-operation, G Kaito Aye has mourned the demise of K Showuba Yimchunger, who passed away at Zion Hospital, Dimapur on October 25. K Showuba was serving as District Agricultural Officer, Tuensang.
Kaito in a press note said that Showuba was a humble, sincere and dedicated officer who has contributed much towards the progress of the department and welfare of the farmers. He has served under many capacities since his joining the Agriculture Department in the year 1990.
“His demise is a huge loss for the department of Agriculture, but his sincerity and honesty will be remembered and cherished. I convey my deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray that God will grant you comfort in this hour of grief and sorrow. May the departed soul rest in peace,” Kaito stated.
YGOA: The Yimkhiung Gazetted Officers’ Association (YGOA) has also grieved the passing of K Showuba, Jt Director (Agri). In his passing, YGOA and the Yimkhiung people are deprived of a remarkable leader of great intellect, vision and courage, it stated.
YGOA said that K Showuba served as General Secretary of YGOA from 2012-2016 and has contributed immensely towards the Association in many ways. He was a man of action and dedication, whose contribution towards the Yimkhiung society in general is phenomenal.
“Today we mourn the passing of a great leader who has left behind a powerful legacy of humility, simplicity and dedication... May the Almighty God rest his Soul in Eternal Peace,” YGOA conveyed.
