Mokokchung, October 18 (MExN): A joint publication of Discipleship Bible College (DBC) and Programme for Theology and Culture in Asia (PTCA) titled ‘Pastoral Care and Counselling in Times of Pain and Loss; PTCA Contextual Bible Study Series-5’ was released at Clark Theological College on October 17.
The book is edited by Dr Tsüknungrenla, an Associate Professor in the CTC Department of Christian Ministry and the book was dedicated and released by CTC Principal Rev Dr A Temjen Jamir.
According to an official communiqué from the CTC on Monday, Dr Tsüknungrenla, in her short speech, said that the book is the outcome of a Virtual Leadership Empowerment Training Programme under the theme ‘Christian Witness in Times of COVID-19 and beyond.’ The programme was jointly organised by the North East Christian University (NECU) and International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches (IM-ABC) from January to June 2021.
The book carries fourteen resourceful articles contributed by academicians and church leaders. The editor also observed that the book provides practical steps towards Christian caring ministry during the challenging time of the COVID-19 pandemic and other related problems.
On behalf of DBC, PTCA Contextual Bible Series General Editor Prof Wati Longchar, the editor thanked Pastor N Lipok Jamir and the members of the Diphupar Ao Baptist Church, Dimapur for their contribution towards the printing and publication of this volume. She also acknowledged and thanked the Principal and CTC community for providing space to release the boo, the communiqué stated.
