Patkai celebrates Annual Cultural Day

Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) celebrated ‘Annual Cultural Day’ on October 5 at the college premises. Under the theme, “Diversity and inclusion,” PCC undertook the programme in order to promote various cultural practices and the zeal to continue traditional activities inherited by the forefathers.
Collaborating with Sümi Naga tribe, an opening dance was performed which denoted, strength and unity of communities.
Jano Nyekha, an Indigenous Folk Musician from Nagaland also presented a song during the programme. PCC under SUPCC (Student Union of Patkai Christian College) conducted various cultural competitions with the masses of 18 north-eastern tribes which included activities such as ethnic wear, folk dance, morung inspection, folk song, which was then followed by Bamboo pole climb, fire making, tug of war, banana cutting.
The College event was headed under the cultural secretary. Distribution of prizes for various competitions was also held. Principal H Epao concluded the event with words of prayer.
