
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): Patkai Christian College (Autonomous) is organising a Short Film Contest in conjunction with the 4th Edition of its 3-Day Campus Film Festival scheduled from October 28 to 30, which coincides with the College’s Golden Jubilee celebration this year.
An annual college calendar event, the final year students of the Department of Mass Communication is responsible for organising and managing the 3-Day Campus Film Festival.
The theme for this year’s Film Festival 4.0 is “Beyond Lights, Camera, Action: Resonating Stories,” and in alignment with this theme, the Department invites entries to participate in the Contest.
The winner of the Short Film Contest will receive a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with additional incentives, while two consolation prizes of Rs 2,000 each including incentives will also be awarded.
Festival director, Wan-o N Yanlem, final year Mass comm student informed that all entries will be screened during the Film Festival, offering participants a platform to present their work to a wider audience. The deadline for receipt of entries is September 14.
The contest is open to all, but the Department especially encourages students’ participation, informed festival manager, Yomge Jilen, final year Mass Comm student.

Earlier, the themes for the first, second, and third film festivals were “Learning Through Visuals,” “Exploring the World of Cinematic Realism,” and “Reel Reflection: Navigating New Realms,” respectively. Over the years, the festival has been supported by Film Association of Nagaland, Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), Directorate of Information and Public Relation.
