Patkai, October 12 (MExN): Students from the Department of Commerce, Patkai Christian College Commerce (Autonomous) undertook an ‘enlightening’ industrial visit to the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong on October 6.
A press release from the college stated that a total of 17 students, accompanied by Assistant Professor Zakir Alam, participated in the visit.
The students were warmly welcomed and guided by Dr Sanjeev K Ningombam, the Coordinator of the Centre for Development of North Eastern Region (CeDNER) at IIM Shillong, along with his colleagues, it said. They also provided a personal tour of the extensive 110-acre campus.
Furthermore, an interaction session was held in the conference hall, where the students from IIM Shillong shared their experiences of taking the Common Admission Test (CAT) and offered valuable advice on preparation strategies, as well as insights into available online and offline study materials to excel in the challenging examination.
The IIM students emphasised the significance of a well-structured study plan, efficient time management, and maintaining a positive attitude throughout the preparation process.
The visit undoubtedly left a profound impact on the visiting students, enlightening them about the field of management education and providing them with invaluable interactions with IIM faculty, the release added.
