Patton calls for unity to settle Naga political issue

Wokha, August 8 (MExN): During the inaugural function of new NPF Wokha Division office building near NST colony Wokha, Y Patton, Home Minister called for unity of all section of Naga society as well, and all national workers under one umbrella to settle Naga political issue at the earliest.  

A press statement said that addressing as the chief guest, Patton further stressed that the long awaited dream of the Naga political deadlock can be only settled through unity. He told that at present there are eight national workers group existing in the state, which the people are also suffering due to different group’s taxation, therefore he call upon to them for unity which they are striving for one political ideology that is sovereignty.  

He further said that Lotha community has lack of preserving the good leaders which hampers the future generation, therefore he urge the people in general to uphold and preserve the capable leaders, who can work for the betterment and change to  the community as well Nagas in general.  

Patton also urged the NPF party functionaries of Wokha district to take care and make best use of the building to work for the welfare of the party and the people in general.

Earlier, the chief guest has unveil the monolith and formally inaugurate the office building while dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev. Nyanchumo, Executive Secretary LBES.  

Later Technical report of the building was  presented, by Yilobemo Humtsoe, Vice president Wokha division which he said the plot and the building cost was completed by 17 lakhs, further he acknowledged the party President Shurhozelie Lieziietsu, and the Chief Minister of Nagaland T R  Zelaing for their financial and logistic support for the progress of the building, while short speeches were also delivered by Sulanthung Lotha and  Mhonjan Humtsoe whom both of them party workers  merged to NPF from JDU and national congress last year. 

Speeches were also delivered by Renbomo Kikon, General Secretary Central Office NPF. The programme was chaired by P Mhonthung, President NPF Wokha division.
