Peren, January 28 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister and Legislator incharge for Peren district, Y Patton held a meeting with BJP officials and karyakartas of Peren district at Jalukie Town on January 26.
The Media Cell of Dy CMO in a press release stated that Patton encouraged the BJP Peren party workers to work steadfastly for strengthening party for future prospects and development, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that the Prime Minister has utmost concern for the North Eastern states, which occupies a strategic position in terms of human resources development. Patton also quoted the Prime Minister saying “Only when the North East region is developed, the whole nation is developed.” Even in the ensuing Lok sabha elections he exuded confidence that the BJP will emerge victorious with thumping majority, and therefore urged the party to work hard keeping in mind the spirit of PDA government, the release stated.
The Dy CM assured to work together for Peren district in strengthening the party further, and urge them to give support and cooperation to the state BJP president for the growth of the party in the state. The programme was chaired by Azhoy Rao Zeliang General Secretary, Organization, while H Thong, state Chief Spokesperson and Co incharge Peren district gave a short speech.
