Dimapur, March 29 (MExN): Nagaland State Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton, on March 29, called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at his official residence in New Delhi.
During their discussion, the Deputy CM deliberated on the financial situation of the state and urged upon the Union Home Minister for releasing the liabilities of Rs. 863.95 crore under Special Plan Assistance (SPA) at the earliest for the state.
Patton, who also holds the home portfolio, also requested Rajnath for early release of Security Related Expenditure (SRE) re-imbursement and the inclusion of mobile internet charges under SRE.
The Union Home Minister had agreed to take up the matter and assured him all the possible help for the state. The Deputy CM also met the Union Home Minister of State Kiren Rijiju and apprised the state's current situation on March 28.
