Patton proposes Police Officers Training College in Nagaland

New Delhi, July 1 (MExN): The Deputy Chief Minister and BLP Leader Nagaland, Y. Patton called on Minister of States for DoNER (Independent Charge) Dr. Jitendra Singh on July 1 at his office in Parliament House, New Delhi. 

Patton proposed to establish Police Officers Training College/Police Academy in Nagaland in order to impart quality training to the Police Officers. “The Training College will have all modern amenities to equip officers in dealing with scientific/cybercrimes related issues,” stated a press release issued by Media Cell Deputy CMO. 

Patton appraised the MoS for DoNER that if established, the Nagaland State Government can train its Police officers and officers from other North Eastern States as well as IPS officers, imparting holistic modernized trainings I maintaining proper law and order. 

The Dy CM requested the MoS for DoNER to help in establishing state of the Art Training College in Nagaland.

During the discussion Dy CM implored upon the MoS for DoNER to release the Central Assistance for re-building totally washed away/damaged infrastructure by floods in 2017. In the course of discussion, the MoS for DoNER assured to “extend all possible help and grants to the state of Nagaland.”

Meanwhile, Patton thanked the NDA Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and MoS for DoNER, Dr. Jitendra Singh for agreeing to fund 100% centrally for the North East Special Infrastructure Development Scheme- NESIDS.
