Kohima, May 13 (DIPR): The Government of Nagaland is presently considering the matter of payment of honorarium to the Chairpersons of various Public Sector Undertakings of the State Government who are neither Elected Members nor Government officials. After due consideration, it has been decided that henceforth, such persons appointed to hold the post of Chairperson of any Public Sector Undertaking shall be paid a monthly honorarium equal to the pay (without allowances) of a Parliamentary Secretary to the Government of Nagaland. It has also been decided that the honorarium of such Chairpersons shall be paid from and out of the budget of the concerned Public Sector Undertakings, for which financial support shall be provided by the Government in the form of additional grants-in-aid.
