Dimapur, January 28 (MExN): The first All Nagaland Inter-College Sports and Literary Meet organised by the Private College Association Nagaland (PCAN) is underway at Tetso College. A total of 23 colleges from across Nagaland are participating in the two-day meet which will culminate on January 29.

PCAN Sports Committee, Convenor, Joshua Achumi of Yemhi College in the welcome address said that the main objective of the event is to bring all colleges under Nagaland to compete, to know, and to have a healthy relationship with each other to strengthen ties and brotherhood among themselves. Joshua asked the students to widen their horizons by making new friends and learning from them and the various events.

Dr PS Lorin, President, PCAN in his address said that in spite of having many different organisations in Nagaland, the PCAN wanted to organize such an event to prove that Nagaland is also capable of achieving so much. PCAN aims at contributing to provide quality education, to enhance the educational system in Nagaland and to take all educational institutions to a higher level, and to direct Nagaland into becoming an educational hub. He encouraged the Management, teachers and students to work hand-in-hand to bring all the colleges of Nagaland together.

Welcome song was presented by students of St John College followed by a rendition of folk fusion performed by Mount Mary College.
