3rd year students of Commerce and Economics Departments, PCC as speakers of the inter-departmental talk held on Saturday at Bundrock Hall.
PATKAI, SEPTEMBER 30 (MExN): Departments of Commerce and Economics, Patkai Christian College (A) jointly organised an inter-departmental talk on Saturday, September 30 at Bundrock hall.
Nchumthung Jami from Department of Commerce as speaker gave a futuristic view on inclusion of artificial intelligence in Human Resource management. Speaking on the scope and use of AI, Jami further narrowed it down that AI will create a mark in the field of HR.
Meweu Marhu from Department of Economics presented an in-depth study on ‘Exchange Rate’.
The presenter delved on various types of exchange rates, its importance and impacts. Further it spoke on trends and challenges in the present exchange rates.
Dewu u Tsido from Department of Commerce, spoke on ‘Consumer Rights’ and explained ways in which consumers can prevent one from being exploited. The presenter further focused on consumer’s responsibilities.
Surhiveno Chase from Economics Department spoke on ‘Investments and its importance’.
She explained different types of risks associated with investment, and discussed how such risks can be managed.
The session was followed by a question and answer round. Students from various departments interacted with the speakers to get clarity on the subjects.
Earlier, Meyabenla from Commerce department moderated the talk while Besutalu Khesoh gave the invocation.
Meanwhile, Anthony Khrasi proposed the vote of thanks while Hanpulah Lim concluded the session with a benediction. The inter-departmental talk is a semester programme organised by third year students of respective departments.
