CHÜMOUKEDIMA, SEPTEMBER 10 (MExN): The Department of Computer Science & IT at Patkai Christian College organized a Web Designing Competition, bringing together students from various academic backgrounds to showcase their talents in web development. The event, held on the college campus, aimed to inspire creativity, foster innovation, and enhance technical skills among participants.
The competition saw Akhruzo Nyekha and Kedimen Longkumer from Patkai Higher Secondary School clinch the top prize. The second prize was awarded to Higi Tuyum and Namsongwibo from the BCA Department at Patkai Christian College. The third prize went to Viboto Swu and Farida Begum, also from Patkai Higher Secondary School.
A distinguished panel of judges evaluated the entries, including Megorietuo Ziekhru, Proprietor of Naga Colors; Dr Dakter Esse, Head of the Department of Mass Communication; and Abhishek Baruah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics. The judges commended the participants for their creativity, technical skills, and innovative approaches, making the competition a significant display of young talent.
The award ceremony was held in the presence of Dr Thepfuvilie Pierü, Principal of Patkai Christian College, who presented the awards and praised the winners and participants. In his address, Dr Pierü highlighted the value of such competitions in promoting active participation and encouraging students to explore new technological frontiers. He expressed his hope that the Department of Computer Science & IT would continue to host similar events in the future.
Ranjan Das, Head of the BCA Department, thanked all 16 participants and commended Amanda Khoza, the competition's convenor, for her meticulous organization and successful execution of the event. Senior faculty member Rokomhalie Angami noted that the competition reflects the growing interest in web development among students.
